APEX BAND BOOSTER SCHOLARSHIPS

 

 

 

PURPOSE:  

 

The Apex Band Boosters wish to recognize and reward outstanding band and color guard students for their contributions to Apex High School through their performances in the high school band programs and their academic achievements by the awarding of scholarships.

 

 

DESCRIPTION:

 

The Apex Band Boosters will award one (1) non-renewable scholarship in the amount of $500.00, and one (1) to three (3) non-renewable scholarships in the amount of $250.00, which may be used for any school expenses.  Payments will be made jointly to the recipient and the school.  The selection of award recipients will be made by the Apex High School Scholarship Committee.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

·              Current senior at Apex High School

 

·              Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher

 

·              Member of Marching Band, Color Guard, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, or Jazz Band for at least three years at Apex or other high schools attended

 

·              Evidence of leadership in school, band programs and the community

 

·              Top Candidates may be interviewed before scholarships are awarded

 

 

 

AVAILABILITY:

 

If not used within 12 calendar months of the date awarded, the funds will be returned to the Apex Band Boosters’ Scholarship Fund.
