Annual Fundraisers (Once a season) BBQ
Dinner—tickets sold in advance and dinner is served before one of the home
football games. A meet and eat kind of activity. Citipass—coupon
books for triangle businesses sold at the beginning of the season. During a trip year the profit goes to your
student account*. Fruit—a
band tradition—varieties of Fla. Citrus fruit sold during October for December
delivery. A portion of the profits goes to your student account*. Calendars—customized
with band photos sold during the holidays. Multiple-Event Fundraisers (Specific events scheduled
throughout the year) NC State
Football Games—you volunteer as a ticket taker or usher at the university
football games. Money earned for your
time goes to your student account*. Car
Washes—scheduled twice during the football season to raise funds. Also serves
as “spirit-building” tool for the band members through lots of water and suds,
and a little bit of work. Hopeful we’ll
be out of the drought! Restaurant
Nights—Coldstone Creamery, Chick-Fil-A,
Carrabba’s—local places chosen to eat, talk, and
money comes back to the band. On-Going Fundraisers (Throughout the year) SunTrust
Bank—Open a checking account by June 30; accept a check card; make a purchase
using the card and remit the form by August 15 and you receive $50 in your
student account; so does the band! Dinner
Savvy—a meal assembly kitchen—Ten percent of your purchase of 3, 6 or 12 meals
goes directly to your student account*. Currently going on through May 31. Grocery
Cards—Kroger, Food Lion, Lowes give us a percentage of purchases made by gift
cards for their stores. You purchase the
gift card by making a check out to Apex Band Boosters, we give you a gift card
for that exact amount and the grocery story sends us a check. Helps to build your student
account*. Scrip—through
News &
Observer—renew or begin a one-year subscription for the N&O and receive a
donation to your student account* and a gift card to a local business
