Annual Fundraisers (Once a season)

BBQ Dinner—tickets sold in advance and dinner is served before one of the home football games. A meet and eat kind of activity.

Citipass—coupon books for triangle businesses sold at the beginning of the season.  During a trip year the profit goes to your student account*.

Fruit—a band tradition—varieties of Fla. Citrus fruit sold during October for December delivery. A portion of the profits goes to your student account*.

Calendars—customized with band photos sold during the holidays.

Multiple-Event Fundraisers (Specific events scheduled throughout the year)

NC State Football Games—you volunteer as a ticket taker or usher at the university football games.  Money earned for your time goes to your student account*.

Car Washes—scheduled twice during the football season to raise funds. Also serves as “spirit-building” tool for the band members through lots of water and suds, and a little bit of work.  Hopeful we’ll be out of the drought!

Restaurant Nights—Coldstone Creamery, Chick-Fil-A, Carrabba’s—local places chosen to eat, talk, and money comes back to the band.

On-Going Fundraisers (Throughout the year)

SunTrust Bank—Open a checking account by June 30; accept a check card; make a purchase using the card and remit the form by August 15 and you receive $50 in your student account; so does the band!

Dinner Savvy—a meal assembly kitchen—Ten percent of your purchase of 3, 6 or 12 meals goes directly to your student account*.  Currently going on through May 31.

Grocery Cards—Kroger, Food Lion, Lowes give us a percentage of purchases made by gift cards for their stores.  You purchase the gift card by making a check out to Apex Band Boosters, we give you a gift card for that exact amount and the grocery story sends us a check.  Helps to build your student account*.

Scrip—through Great Lakes Scrip Center--hundreds of stores participate through gift card purchases.  If you shop or eat out at all, money can go to your student account by buying gift cards for these stores/restaurants through the band booster program.  You make out one check for any number of goods—Blockbuster, Starbucks, Red Robin, Home Depot—the list is endless.

News & Observer—renew or begin a one-year subscription for the N&O and receive a donation to your student account* and a gift card to a local business such as Kroger or Walmart.

Apex Band Boosters is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization just like churches, PTAs and other charitable organizations.  Not only is our budget supported by these fundraisers, but money also goes directly into your student account.

*The band boosters will hold money earned through certain fundraisers for your band student for future fees.  It’s an ideal way to save money during a trip year, such as this one.
