In the
opening days of full band camp, it was amazing to see the skill level of
the combined new and experienced marchers. I predict that with being
this far along so early, the TECHNICAL SKILLS RATING at competitions will
be outstanding! Look out for some good scores! (an anonymous
proud parent, Monday, Aug 7)

A Quote from Jon Gifford/Coach
from ECU: "In 3 days they have the opener on the field. I've
worked with other places and they wouldn't even have 5 sets done in 3
days."

"Okay so Marching Band is over.
And as a freshman I must say I loved it! I'm definetly doing it next year
and hopefully all throughout high school. I have a lot of good memories in
marching band but my favorite one was of the last Thursday marching
rehearsal. It was a cold day and it was dark and depressing considering
that now we knew that the seniors were leaving. So imagine our surprise
when instead of freezing cold water we got hot chocolate! It was some of
the best hot chocolate I've ever had and I thank you loading crew so much
for bring all of our equipment down and for giving us water ever single
day!"
