"I think we should be the marching
chorus" (Wesley T. / Trumpet; Thursday, August 02, 2007)
I loved the across the floor
drills to the awful techno music...it got everyone so energized and we
were actually on step! Of course, it was "old man" music, but we don't
care... (Caitlin M./ Baritone; Saturday August 04, 2007)
Marching band bonding activities!!
hats off to Roxanne for planning that, it was a lot of fun!! :)
(Anonymous; Wednesday August 08, 2007)
What an awesome, saxational dinner
at Mama Mia's!!! The alto/bari-tenor war was pretty awesome! All I have to
say is...guys, you BETTER eat all your pizza!!!
(Anonymous / Alto
Saxophone; Wednesday August 08, 2007)
I love how Bailey had to conduct
with light-up Ariel in the dark. That was pretty awesome to hear her sing
every time we stepped off! (Anonymous; Wednesday August 08, 2007)
First there was bond...then there
was alien, and now........ARIEL! (and we could see the beat...stick with
what works...) (Anonymous / Trumpet; Thursday August 09, 2007)
1. When talking
to a color guard girl I say... "Ya know, I'd have to say you're actually
one of the hardest working sections" Color Guard girl says, "Yeah, the
problem is we're a minority in the band... gosh I feel like a Mxxxxxxx
now!" 2. "You're my special friend!" ~Ariel 3. Its our "Marimba",
it's really a xylophone but we call it our Marimba... Its a Marimbaphone!
(Heather J / Pit; Thursday August 09, 2007)
~"Once everyone has
done the wave you can go back to your previous set" --Ray Eddy ~making
amazing shapes with the alto saxes (such as the word "SAX" and putting a
sax on the wheelchair parking space guy) ~the random Ninja circles
~Catherine's capes she made for the altos ~throwing around balloons after
our awesome bonding activities ~the alto sax chinese food party on the
last day during lunch where we shared all of the random food we got with
everyone and played the fortune cookie game ~Again, saxtional dinners
continue to be absolutely amazing...after the alto/t&b war I know that if
I were a guy I would DEFINITELY eat all my pizza! I loved the random tube
things that made that creepy noise that we got at the dollar store...and
Josh is officially now the most awesome freshman ever. If you need proof
I've got a pretty sicknasty picture. hahaha.
(Michelle L. / Alto Sax; Saturday August 11, 2007)

The Full Story
As Requested!: The full story behind the Bailey and Ariel episode for those that were
not there: It was dark, and we couldn't see Bailey very well because the
sun had gone down, when Mr. Rowe found his daughter's light-up Ariel that
Bailey could use so everyone could see her. Whenever Bailey accidentally
pressed the button talking, she either sang or said "Your my special
friend!" We actually used it during a run-though and it actually worked,
because even though we couldn't see Bailey's hands, we could see the light
up Ariel. (Anonymous; Thursday August 16, 2007)
I loved it when
Ryan was like we all need a comon language....thing is we dont all have
the "same" english we spell things weirdly so no two people have the same
common language!! and i loved watching the random NINJA circles forms even
though they sounded like dieing chickens not ninja(need help to sound like
a ninja see the drumline!!) (Caitlan H. / Trumpet; Saturday
August 25, 2007)
I loved the
Arlington trip. The bus ride was AMAZING! Dancing on the bus and stopping
ranodmly for breakfast is perfection. (Dawn D / Alto Sax; Monday
August 27, 2007)
So we were waiting
in the auditorium to see whether or not the football game would be
cancelled due to rain, and we were practicing some stand music. Then Mr.
Rowe tells us that it is his 16th wedding anneversary, so he tells us to
get out Hey Baby. He has Bailey get Roxanne and he goes outside of the
auditorium in the back. When Roxanne is in the auditorium, we start
playing, and once we start singing Mr. Rowe comes down the aisle with a
bouquet of roses for her! It was so cool! (Heather J. / Pit;
Saturday September 15, 2007) - GREAT MESSAGE! Thank you!
"Um, JJ, are you
okay??" "Yeah, I'm just looking for bugs" hahaha, we were supposed to be
kneeling down and Jonathan had his face three inches off the ground!
(Anonymous / Alto Sax; Thursday September 20, 2007)
"I loved it when p.
rowe said you have no more drill to learn! and everyone cheered"!
(caitlan / trumpet; Wednesday September 26, 2007)
No running in the
gym after it rains! FYI Western Wake has some fine doctors! Helloooo
