About
the Color Guard
The Color Guard with its distinctive choreography provides a tremendous
visual impact to the overall marching band show, and it is a rapidly
growing area of the band. The Color
Guard will figure prominently in the new 2008 show, so now is your chance
to be a part of it. Just find an existing member of the Marching Band and
ask them to reveal the theme of our next marching band show, and you'll see what
excitement is in store for the Color Guard!
The Apex Color Guard has performed at such astute events as the Outback Bowl,
Walt Disney World, and the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship - Sovereign
of the Seas!
The Color Guard is under the direction of Mrs. Roxanne Rowe. Roxanne
developed her love of show performance and technique when she was her high
school's Color Guard Captain. As well, many parents of color guard members
have served as officers on
the Band Booster board of directors, so you can be sure that this program is well represented.
