The
show for 2005 -6 season is a spectacular spy thriller called
"Mission 007",
featuring music from James Bond and Mission Impossible movies and TV
show. Highlights include Apex's very own James Bond in his
choreographed fight scene with the color guard (fondly called our "Bond
Girls"), a rock explosion and a rolling drum line cadence, all entwined
within complex marching maneuvers. And, best of all is the Band's
surprise ending -- don't take your eyes off the field!
This show will be performed at most Apex home
football games, and at six competitions in the North Carolina
area. The Apex Marching Band will participate in local area
Christmas Parades. See our Master Calendar or Marching Band
Schedule Details web pages for specific performance information.

Almost like
everyone from the first game said "Oh man, you've got to come
to the next game and see the marching band! They're on fire
this year!"... |

I think Marching
Band was a great experience, because I met a LOT of crazy
awesome people and it was a lot of fun. The best part about
Marching Band was Cary Band Day, even if we DID get seriously
robbed [at this competition]. |

Before we
performed the second show on the double-header, several of my
friends and i were a bit anxious and we decided to meditate.
We sat in a circle as if we were doing some hard-core
meditating, and began singing. We started singing the show,
all with our eyes closed visualizing our movements, until the
end.
… When I opened my eyes, there were about thirty people around
me who were relaxed and even inspired by the singing. After we
marched, I had many freshmen approach me and tell me that it
was vital to their success that night. |
