​WE NEED YOU!!

The quality of our band program depends heavily on the involvement of our parents. Parents are an integral part of the AHS program and their help is crucial to the program's success. Engaged parents create a strong volunteer community (Volunteer Committee List) to make light work for all those involved, but it also creates a fun experience with lifelong memories with our children and new friends. 

There are open chair positions that are critical to the success of the AHS Marching Band. 

PIT Crew Committee – Chairperson: OPEN                                        pitcrew@apexhighband.org

• The PIT Crew coordinator leads a team of parent volunteers in getting the front ensemble equipment and drum major stand(s) to the field for competitions and games.  Also, coordinates the efforts to get large instruments to parades.
• Additional Volunteers are needed to get the pit equipment on/off the field for football games (no travel) and competitions (travel to competition location).  Parents also needed to get large instruments to parade route.

Uniform Committee – Co-Chairpersons: Stephanie Bonestell (co-chair OPEN)uniforms@apexhighband.org

• The Uniforms Co-Chairs are in charge of all things UNIFORMS ​
• Additional Volunteers needed to iron uniforms & fit the students for uniforms, marching shoes and track pants during band camp.  Volunteers are also needed during games, competitions and parades to assist with uniforms and plume and deplume the hats (put feathers in).

Sewing Committee – Chairperson: OPEN  sewing@apexhighband.org

• The Sewing Coordinator is in direct contact with Mr. Jarvis to see if he needs anything from the committee in terms of visual appeal of the field show.
• Additional Volunteers are needed for various levels of assistance:  Custom hemming, separated seams, light alterations in the VE uniforms, fixing tears in VE flags, etc.
