Apex High School Band Boosters

The Apex High School Band Boosters is a 501(c)3 non-profit tax-exempt organization dedicated to supporting the high standards exemplified by the Apex High School Bands. Comprised entirely of parents and grandparents of students in the bands at Apex High School, the Boosters support all of the activities of the Apex High School Band Program and our Band Director.

 

We operate operate under the Apex Band Booster Bylaws and are led by a volunteer Board of Directors and Committee Chairs. We work closely with the Band Director, enabling him to focus on the developing the talent of our students by coordinating activities and providing additional resources where necessary.

 

Much of our effort, especially during the fall, is focused on the Marching Band, which competes regularly and performs at many sporting and community events. The Marching Band also promotes education and encourages the next generation of musicians through outreach at area middle and elementary schools.

 

The Band Boosters also support our concert bands and all of the band ensembles through year-long fundraising and volunteering efforts. 

 

In this day of cut-backs in funding for the arts, it is essential that we work to supplement the limited funds allocated to the band budget to enhance the educational experiences of our students. Your participation in our fundraising events like carwash ticket sales, spirit nights, concert donations, etc. is greatly appreciated!

 

 The best way you can help support our band students is to become active in the Band Boosters, and we encourage you to get involved. Our volunteers and committees help with band logistics, chaperoning trips and events, disseminating information, managing band finances and student accounts, and so much more! It takes an army of volunteers to make things run smoothly for the band, and although they won’t admit it, your kids actually like having their parents involved in some band activities!

 

Note: All volunteers must register with WCPSS and submit to a background check (this is Wake County Schools Policy) annually after July 1st. This can be done online through the WCPSS Website.
