Extra-Curricular Opportunities

Jazz Band
The Apex High School Jazz Bands are all voluntary non-academic bands, and meet after school one to two days each week beginning in November after marching season ends. Marching Band
Apex High has a very active marching band that plays at home football games, competes in several competitions throughout the season, and participates in local parades and events. Registration for marching band opens in the spring, and practices begin over the summer, starting with band camp in July/August and running throughout the fall. The marching band competes locally and regionally and has a reputation of high musical standards and quality.  All who wish to participate in marching band must also be registered for concert band classes.

Musical Pit Orchestra

Each spring, the Apex Peak Players, Apex Chorus, and Apex Band combine to produce a high-quality musical.  The music for the musical is performed by members of the Apex Band.  Typically, select Wind Ensemble students play the musical as the musical demands are very high for high school players.

The Apex High School Percussion Ensemble is a voluntary non-academic band, and meets after school once per week beginning in November after marching season ends. We welcome anyone with an interest in exploring percussion, no matter what their level of experience. Regular attendance at rehearsals is required.
